COVID-19 Positivity
The positivity rate is calculated as the number of positive confirmed cases divided by the total number of tests performed (which is calculated here as the number of positive cases plus negative cases). This is an important metric because because it simultaneously estimates how well testing is being implemented for a given population while also measuring outbreak severity.
